Davenport Central Blue Devils (Davenport, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Davenport West Falcons (Davenport, IA), 58-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Davenport Central upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to North Scott (Eldridge, IA) to play the Lancers in a Mississippi bout on Friday, January 27. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 6-7.

Next up, the Falcons play the Bettendorf Bulldogs (Bettendorf, IA) in a Mississippi bout, on Thursday, January 26. Davenport West will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 5-5 record after their 56-40 league loss to Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA).
