Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators (Chesapeake, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Denbigh Baptist Christian Minutemen (Newport News, VA), 39-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Greenbrier Christian Academy upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Gators host Portsmouth Christian (Portsmouth, VA) to clash with the Patriots in a Metropolitan bout on Friday, January 27. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Portsmouth Christian lost 42-41 in their recent league bout against Hampton Christian Academy (Hampton, VA)

Next up, the Minutemen clash with the StoneBridge Cavaliers (Chesapeake, VA) in a Metropolitan bout, on Thursday, January 26. Denbigh Baptist Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 40-27 league loss to Broadwater Academy (Exmore, VA).
