Texas High School Basketball - Emerson topped by Liberty

The Liberty Redhawks basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host Emerson Mavericks to 30 in the Redhawks league victory on Tuesday.
The Redhawks now sport a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lebanon Trail for a 5A Region II District 10 contest on Friday, January 27. Liberty will battle a Trail Blazers team coming off a 41-28 league win over Independence (Frisco, TX). The Trail Blazers record now stands at 20-9.
The Mavericks (7-23) will now prepare for their contest against Heritage (Frisco, TX). The Coyotes come into the 5A Region II District 10 contest with a 14-12 record. In their last contest, Heritage prevailed over Centennial (Frisco, TX), 51-39, in a league contest.
