Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) and the host Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC), saw North Stanly's basketball squad wallop Gray Stone Day by a tally of 61-28.

With the victory, North Stanly improves its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Union Academy (Monroe, NC) to play the Cardinals in a 1A/2A Conference 35 challenge on Thursday, January 26. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Union Academy won 63-46 in their recent league challenge against Robinson (Concord, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 35 challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. Gray Stone Day will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 67-44 non-league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC).
