In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Griffith Institute Griffins (Springville, NY) basketball squad edged the visiting Olean Huskies (Olean, NY), by a margin of 40-34.
The Griffins (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Lake Shore (Angola, NY). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 7-5 record. In their last outing, Lake Shore was tipped by Depew (Depew, NY), 63-36, in a league outing.
The Huskies now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Fredonia for a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - West I outing on Thursday, January 26. Olean will clash with a Hillbillies squad coming off a 42-36 non-league loss to Pine Valley Central (South Dayton, NY). The Hillbillies record now stands at 3-10.
