Maine High School Basketball - Hermon edges Mount Desert Island

The Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME) basketball nipped the visiting Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME), 50-43 in Tuesday's league test.
The Hawks (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME). The Eagles go into the B North test with a 10-2 record.
The Trojans now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Caribou for a B North test on Friday, January 27. Mount Desert Island will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 61-40 non-league win over Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME). The Vikings record now stands at 11-2.
