Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC) and the host Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), saw North Duplin's basketball squad wallop Hobbton by a count of 59-30.

With the victory, North Duplin upgrades its record to 14-1 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC) to play the Cougars in a 1A Conference 10 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. Neuse Charter lost 51-49 in their recent league challenge against Union (Rose Hill, NC)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) in a 1A Conference 10 challenge, on Friday, January 27. Hobbton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 0-16 record after their 57-25 league loss to Lakewood (Roseboro, NC).
