Rockdale Tigers (Rockdale, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lexington Eagles (Lexington, TX), 45-26 in a league bout.
With the win, Rockdale upgrades its record to 11-19 on the season. The Tigers host McGregor (McGregor, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 19 bout on Friday, January 27. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-20. McGregor lost 58-25 in their recent league bout against Lorena (Lorena, TX)
Next up, the Eagles play the Troy Trojans (Troy, TX) in a 3A Region III District 19 bout, on Friday, January 27. Lexington will attempt to upgrade on its 13-16 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 13-15 record after their 65-54 league loss to Little River Academy (Little River Academy, TX).
