The Westwood Cardinals (Washington Township, NJ) basketball felled the host Mahwah Thunderbirds (Mahwah, NJ), 49-34 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cardinals (11-4) will now prepare for their test against River Dell (Oradell, NJ). The Golden Hawks go into the Big North - Patriot test with a 11-1 record. In their last test, River Dell thwarted Ramsey (Ramsey, NJ), 56-41, in a league test.
The Thunderbirds now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Indian Hills for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. Mahwah will encounter a Braves squad coming off a 37-17 non-league loss to Pascack Hills (Montvale, NJ). The Braves record now stands at 3-9.
