Texas High School Basketball - Uvalde can't hold off Pearsall

The Pearsall Mavericks basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) to 50 in the Mavericks league victory on Tuesday.
The Mavericks now sport a 6-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carrizo Springs for a 4A Region IV District 29 contest on Friday, January 27. Pearsall will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 72-44 league loss to Somerset (Somerset, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-17.
The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) (4-17) will now prepare for their contest against Floresville (Floresville, TX). The Tigers come into the 4A Region IV District 29 contest with a 12-17 record. In their last contest, Floresville edged Pearsall (Pearsall, TX), 61-37, in a league contest.
