Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks (Saratoga Springs, NY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Queensbury Spartans (Queensbury, NY), 56-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Saratoga Springs upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Blue Streaks travel to Shaker (Latham, NY) to play the Bison in a Section 2 Suburban bout on Friday, January 27. The Bison come into the bout with a record of 4-8. Shaker lost 51-41 in their recent league test against Bethlehem Central (Delmar, NY)

The Spartans now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Johnstown for a Section 2 Foothills test on Thursday, January 26.
