Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Walker Valley Mustangs (Cleveland, TN) and the host Rhea County Golden Eagles (Evensville, TN), saw Walker Valley's basketball squad wallop Rhea County by a count of 58-35.

With the victory, Walker Valley upgrades its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Polk County (Benton, TN) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 26. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. Polk County won 54-20 in their recent league challenge against Brainerd (Chattanooga, TN)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Bradley Central Bears (Cleveland, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Rhea County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 22-0 record after their 87-33 league win over Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN).
