The Stratford Elks basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Sanford-Fritch Eagles to 14 in the Elks league victory on Tuesday.

The Elks now sport a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Texas for a 2A Region I District 1 contest on Friday, January 27. Stratford will battle a Comanches team coming off a 59-11 league loss to Gruver (Gruver, TX). The Comanches record now stands at 17-10.

The Eagles (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against Sunray (Sunray, TX). The Bobcats come into the 2A Region I District 1 contest with a 17-10 record. In their last contest, Sunray triumphed over Booker (Booker, TX), 42-33, in a league contest.
