Texas High School Basketball - Weslaco East topped by Veterans Memorial

The Veterans Memorial Chargers basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Weslaco East Wildcats to 29 in the Chargers league victory on Tuesday.

The Chargers now sport a 24-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Donna North for a 5A Region IV District 32 contest on Friday, January 27. Veterans Memorial will battle a Chiefs team coming off a 51-5 league loss to Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX). The Chiefs record now stands at 0-16.

The Wildcats (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Pace (Brownsville, TX). The Vikings come into the 5A Region IV District 32 contest with a 5-23 record.
