New Mexico High School Basketball - Highland nips Grants

Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Grants Pirates (Grants, NM), 42-36 in a league bout.
With the victory, Highland upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 8-4.
Next up, the Pirates play the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. Grants will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 42-23 league loss to Highland (Albuquerque, NM).
