The Bellarmine College Prep Bells (San Jose, CA) basketball nipped the host Saint Francis Lancers (Mountain View, CA), 41-39 in Tuesday's league test.

The Bells (13-3) will now prepare for their test against Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA). The Monarchs go into the test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Archbishop Mitty got by Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA), 49-34, in a league test.

The Lancers now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Archbishop Riordan for a test on Saturday, January 28. Saint Francis will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 57-40 league loss to St. Ignatius (San Francisco, CA). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-12.
