The Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC), 57-28 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Gryphons (14-1) will now prepare for their test against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 2-11 record. In their last test, East Gaston was trounced by Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC), 53-35, in a non-league test.
The Yellow Jackets now own a 1-13 record. They play next when they host Cherryville for a non-league test on Friday, January 27. Bessemer City will encounter a Ironmen squad coming off a 61-34 non-league loss to Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 7-8.
