In Tuesday's league outing, the Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), by a margin of 64-38.
The Mountaineers (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Mountaineers go into the non-league outing with a 4-12 record. In their last outing, Tuscola was trounced by North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC), 60-42, in a league outing.
The Wildcats now own a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison for a non-league match on Friday, January 27.
