East Carteret Mariners (Beaufort, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lejeune Devil Pups (Camp Lejeune, NC), 58-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, East Carteret upgrades its record to 1-10 on the campaign. The Mariners travel to Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 5-6.

Next up, the Devil Pups play the Southside Seahawks (Chocowinity, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Lejeune will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record.
