Eastside Rams (Gainesville, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host North Marion Colts (Citra, FL), 53-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Eastside upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Hawthorne (Hawthorne, FL) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Hawthorne lost 54-44 in their recent non-league bout against P.K. Yonge (Gainesville, FL)

Next up, the Colts play the Lake Weir Hurricanes (Ocala, FL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 25. North Marion will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Hurricanes come into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 50-41 non-league loss to Forest (Ocala, FL).
