The Tarboro Vikings basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Gates County Red Barons to 44 in the Vikings non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Vikings now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverside-Martin for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27. Tarboro will battle a Knights team coming off a 45-43 league win over Bertie (Windsor, NC). The Knights record now stands at 11-1.
The Red Barons (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Bertie (Windsor, NC). The Falcons come into the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Bertie was nudged by Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC), 45-43, in a league contest.
