Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting North Stanly Comets (New London, NC), 49-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gray Stone Day upgrades its record to 3-9 on the season. The Knights travel to Albemarle (Albemarle, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-11.

Next up, the Comets clash with the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. North Stanly will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 50-34 non-league loss to Robinson (Concord, NC).
