Holmes County Blue Devils (Bonifay, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Malone Tigers (Malone, FL), 56-47 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Holmes County upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Freeport (Freeport, FL) to play the Bulldogs in a bout on Thursday, January 26. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 6-10. Freeport won 54-28 in their recent league bout against Ponce De Leon (Ponce De Leon, FL)
The Tigers now own a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to Sneads for a test on Thursday, January 26. Malone will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 37-23 non-league loss to Paxton (Paxton, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 1-3.
