Pine River Area Bucks (Leroy, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Houghton Lake Bobcats (Houghton Lake, MI), 58-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Pine River Area upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Bucks host Manistee (Manistee, MI) to clash with the Chippewas in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Chippewas go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Manistee lost 68-55 in their recent league bout against Whitehall (Whitehall, MI)

Next up, the Bobcats clash with the Grayling Vikings (Grayling, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Houghton Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
