Niwot Cougars (Niwot, CO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Roosevelt Roughriders (Johnstown, CO), 47-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Niwot upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Riverdale Ridge (Thornton, CO) to play the Ravens in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 26. The Ravens come into the bout with a record of 7-2. Riverdale Ridge won 58-51 in their recent league bout against Severance (Severance, CO)

Next up, the Roughriders play the Frederick Golden Eagles (Frederick, CO) in a bout, on Thursday, February 2. Roosevelt will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
