Rock Church Lions (Franklin, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Victory Christian Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC), 38-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Rock Church upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to New Life Academy (Elizabeth City, NC) to play the Bobcats in a bout on Thursday, January 26. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 4-4. New Life Academy lost 52-23 in their recent league bout against Victory Christian (Elizabeth City, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Bethel Assembly Christian Academy Eagles (Windsor, NC) in a bout, on Friday, January 27. Victory Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 57-10 league win over Suffolk Christian Academy (Suffolk, VA).
