Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Davidson Dragons (Lexington, NC), 47-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Salisbury upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Hornets host South Davidson (Denton, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-12. South Davidson lost 54-45 in their recent non-league bout against North Moore (Robbins, NC)

Next up, the Dragons play the Thomasville Bulldogs (Thomasville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. West Davidson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 53-47 non-league loss to South Granville (Creedmoor, NC).
