Illinois High School Basketball - Ashton-Franklin Center knocked off by Forreston

The Forreston Cardinals basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders to 34 in the Cardinals league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 7-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Milledgeville for a Northwest Upstate Illini - South contest on Friday, January 26. Forreston will battle a Missiles team coming off a 48-27 league loss to Fulton (Fulton, IL). The Missiles record now stands at 5-12.

The Raiders (3-18) will now prepare for their contest against Polo (Polo, IL). The Marcos enter the Northwest Upstate Illini - South contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Polo ran past Amboy (Amboy, IL), 57-33, in a league contest.
