In Wednesday's league outing, the Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Fellowship Christian Paladins (Roswell, GA), by a margin of 73-45.
The Spartans (16-4) will now prepare for their outing against Union County (Blairsville, GA). The Panthers go into the AA Region 8 outing with a 16-3 record. In their last outing, Union County smashed Banks County (Homer, GA), 85-71, in a league outing.
The Paladins now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Banks County for a AA Region 8 outing on Friday, January 26. Fellowship Christian will clash with a Leopards squad coming off a 85-71 league loss to Union County (Blairsville, GA). The Leopards record now stands at 14-7.
