Bear River Bruins (Grass Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Center Cougars (Antelope, CA), 60-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Bear River upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Bruins travel to Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA) to play the Raging Rhinos in a Pioneer Valley League bout on Friday, January 26. The Raging Rhinos go into the bout with a record of 18-4. Twelve Bridges won 59-19 in their recent league bout against Lindhurst (Olivehurst, CA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Marysville Indians (Marysville, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League bout, on Friday, January 26. Center will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 12-10 record after their 51-48 league loss to Sutter (Sutter, CA).
