St. Margaret's Tartans (San Juan Capistrano, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Calvary Chapel Eagles (Santa Ana, CA), 78-69 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Margaret's upgrades its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Tartans host Estancia (Costa Mesa, CA) to play the Eagles in a Orange Coast bout on Friday, January 26. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 19-7. Estancia won 84-50 in their recent league bout against Saddleback (Santa Ana, CA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Costa Mesa Mustangs (Costa Mesa, CA) in a Orange Coast bout, on Monday, January 29. Calvary Chapel will attempt to upgrade on its 14-11 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 15-11 record after their 82-54 league win over Saddleback (Santa Ana, CA).
