The Lakewood Leopards basketball team (Roseboro, NC), was nudged 50-47 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Clinton Dark Horses (Clinton, NC)
The Dark Horses now possess a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Pauls for a 2A Southeastern battle on Friday, January 26. Clinton will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 51-29 league loss to West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-10.
The Leopards (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Cougars come into the 1A Carolina battle with a 6-15 record. In their last battle, Neuse Charter edged Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC), 69-47, in a league battle.
