Havelock Rams (Havelock, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting D.H. Conley Vikings (Greenville, NC), 59-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Havelock upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Rams travel to New Bern (New Bern, NC) to play the Bears in a 3A/4A Big Carolina bout on Friday, January 26. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 11-6. New Bern lost 47-36 in their recent league bout against South Central (Winterville, NC)

Next up, the Vikings play the Northern Nash Knights (Rocky Mount, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 26. D.H. Conley will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 78-68 league win over Rocky Mount (Rocky Mount, NC).
