North Carolina High School Basketball - Dixon overwhelmed by Swansboro

The Dixon Bulldogs basketball team (Holly Ridge, NC), was overwhelmed 73-40 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC)

The Pirates now possess a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Croatan for a 3A Coastal battle on Friday, January 26. Swansboro will confront a Cougars team coming off a 73-69 league loss to West Carteret (Morehead City, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 14-3.

The Bulldogs (6-11) will now prepare for their battle against White Oak (Jacksonville, NC). The Vikings come into the 3A Coastal battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, White Oak trounced Richlands (Richlands, NC), 63-18, in a league battle.
