East Mills (Malvern, IA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host East Union Eagles (Afton, IA), 54-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Mills upgrades its record to 17-1 on the season. The host Riverside (Oakland, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Riverside won 52-36 in their recent league bout against Audubon (Audubon, IA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA) in a bout, on Friday, January 26. East Union will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 0-12 record after their 64-44 league loss to Lenox (Lenox, IA).
