The Knott County Central Patriots basketball team scored 77 points and held the host Jenkins Cavaliers to 56 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Patriots now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perry County Central for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 25. Knott County Central will play a Commodores squad coming off a 83-72 non-league win over Wolfe County (Campton, KY). The Commodores record now stands at 13-8.

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Letcher County Central Cougars / Lady Cougars (Whitesburg, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Jenkins will attempt to upgrade on its 14-12 season record. The Cougars / Lady Cougars go into the bout with a 14-7 record after their 87-42 non-league win over Owsley County (Booneville, KY).
