The Pottsville Crimson Tide basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Jim Thorpe Olympians to 43 in the Crimson Tide league triumph on Wednesday.

The Crimson Tide now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lehighton for a Schuylkill County 1 contest on Friday, January 26. Pottsville will meet a Indians team coming off a 55-43 league win over Tamaqua (Tamaqua, PA). The Indians record now stands at 11-5.

The Olympians (1-17) will now prepare for their contest against Tamaqua (Tamaqua, PA). The Blue Raiders enter the Schuylkill County 1 contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Tamaqua was defeated by Lehighton (Lehighton, PA), 55-43, in a league contest.
