The Kingwood Mustangs (Kingwood, TX) basketball nipped the visiting King Panthers (Houston, TX), 49-47 in Wednesday's league test.
The Mustangs (14-13) will now prepare for their test against Summer Creek (Houston, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 6A Region III District 21 test with a 15-12 record. In their last test, Summer Creek got by North Shore (Houston, TX), 59-56, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 16-8 record. They play next when they host Beaumont United for a 6A Region III District 21 test on Saturday, January 27. King will encounter a Timberwolves squad coming off a 64-56 league loss to Atascocita (Humble, TX). The Timberwolves record now stands at 24-2.
