California High School Basketball - River City overwhelmed by Monterey Trail

The River City Raiders basketball team (West Sacramento, CA), was overwhelmed 98-50 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Monterey Trail Mustangs (Elk Grove, CA)

The Mustangs now possess a 19-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host McClatchy for a Metropolitan Conference battle on Friday, January 26. Monterey Trail will confront a Lions team coming off a 58-55 league loss to River City (West Sacramento, CA). The Lions record now stands at 6-16.

The Raiders (9-13) will now prepare for their battle against Grant (Sacramento, CA). The Pacers come into the Metropolitan Conference battle with a 12-9 record. In their last battle, Grant was overwhelmed by Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA), 59-55, in a league battle.
