In Wednesday's league outing, the York Falcons (Yorktown, VA) basketball squad felled the visiting Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA), by a margin of 56-38.

The Falcons (7-6) will now prepare for their outing against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Rams go into the Bay Rivers outing with a 11-3 record. In their last outing, Lafayette thwarted Smithfield (Smithfield, VA), 54-51, in a league outing.

The Islanders now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they travel to Smithfield for a Bay Rivers match on Friday, January 26. Poquoson will meet a Packers team coming off a 49-42 league win over Warhill (Williamsburg, VA). The Packers record now stands at 8-7.
