The Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL), 64-59 in Wednesday's league test.

The Rocks (17-6) will now prepare for their test against Moline (Moline, IL). The Maroons go into the Western Big 6 test with a 19-2 record. In their last test, Moline got by Alleman (Rock Island, IL), 60-24, in a league test.
