The Scituate Spartans basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting St. Patrick Academy Padres to 37 in the Spartans league triumph on Wednesday.

The Spartans now sport a 1-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Block Island for a Division 3 match on Sunday, January 28.

With the defeat, St. Patrick Academy moves to 2-11 on the year. The Padres host North Smithfield (North Smithfield, RI) to face the Northmen in a Division 3 match on Friday, January 26. The Northmen enter the match with a record of 13-1. North Smithfield won 64-54 in their recent league match against Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI)
