California High School Basketball - Placer thwarts Oakmont

The Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Oakmont Vikings (Roseville, CA), 61-47 in Wednesday's league test.
The Hillmen (8-13) will now prepare for their test against Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA). The Bruins go into the test with a 13-8 record. In their last test, Ponderosa notched a victory over Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA), 49-40, in a league test.
The Vikings now own a 4-15 record. They play next when they travel to West Park for a test on Friday, January 26. Oakmont will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 84-32 league win over Lincoln (Lincoln, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 21-0.
