The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Princeville Princes to 39 in the Tornadoes league victory on Wednesday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monmouth United for a Lincoln Trail contest on Friday, January 26. Abingdon/Avon will battle a Red Storm team coming off a 67-33 league loss to Annawan (Annawan, IL). The Red Storm record now stands at 11-7.

The Princes (13-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mercer County (Aledo, IL). The Golden Eagles come into the Lincoln Trail contest with a 12-11 record. In their last contest, Mercer County edged Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL), 59-56, in a league contest.
