The Zuni Thunderbirds basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Crownpoint Eagles to 37 in the Thunderbirds league victory on Wednesday.

With the victory, Zuni upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Thoreau (Thoreau, NM) to play the Hawks in a 3A District 1 bout on Friday, January 26. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 7-8. Thoreau lost 62-43 in their recent league bout against Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM)

Next up, the Eagles play the Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM) in a 3A District 1 bout, on Friday, January 26. Crownpoint will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Skyhawks come into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 62-31 league loss to Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM).
