Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Somonauk/Leland Bobcats (Somonauk, IL), 44-26 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dwight upgrades its record to 10-13 on the campaign. The Trojans host Putnam County (Granville, IL) to play the Panthers in a Tri-County bout on Thursday, January 25. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 17-8. Putnam County lost 53-29 in their recent non-league bout against St. Bede (Peru, IL)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Earlville Red Raiders (Earlville, IL) in a Little Ten bout, on Thursday, January 25. Somonauk/Leland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-19 season record. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a 4-17 record after their 55-27 non-league loss to Yorkville Christian (Yorkville, IL).
