Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Sto-Rox Vikings (McKees Rocks, PA), 74-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Fort Cherry upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Rangers host Carlynton (Carnegie, PA) to play the Cougars in a WPIAL 2A 2 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 5-10. Carlynton won 43-18 in their recent non-league bout against East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Brentwood Spartans (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 2 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Sto-Rox will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 36-23 league win over Northgate (Pittsburgh, PA).
