Nevada High School Basketball - Spanish Springs tops Galena

January 24, 2024: Reno, NV 89511

Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Spanish Springs Cougars (Sparks, NV) and the host Galena Grizzlies (Reno, NV), saw Spanish Springs's basketball squad knock off Galena by a count of 58-44.

With the victory, Spanish Springs upgrades its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV) to play the Miners in a 4A Northern challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Miners come into the challenge with a record of 17-1.

Next up, the Grizzlies play the McQueen Lancers (Reno, NV) in a 4A Northern challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Galena will attempt to upgrade on its 4-17 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 6-13 record after their 38-29 league win over Reed (Sparks, NV).
