Onekama Portagers (Onekama, MI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs (Traverse City, MI), 56-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Onekama upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Portagers travel to Glen Lake (Maple City, MI) to play the Lakers in a Northwest bout on Friday, January 26. The Lakers come into the bout with a record of 8-4. Glen Lake lost 52-42 in their recent non-league bout against St. Mary (Lake Leelanau, MI)

Next up, the Mustangs play the St. Michael Academy (Petoskey, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Grand Traverse Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The come into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 43-13 non-league loss to North Michigan Christian Academy (Burt Lake, MI).
