Hampton County Hurricanes (Varnville, SC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ridgeland-Hardeeville Jaguars (Ridgeland, SC), 56-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Hampton County upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Hurricanes host Woodland (Dorchester, SC) to clash with the Wolverines in a AA Region 6 bout on Friday, January 26. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 3-13. Woodland lost 36-34 in their recent league bout against Edisto (Cordova, SC)

Next up, the Jaguars clash with the Woodland Wolverines (Dorchester, SC) in a AA Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Ridgeland-Hardeeville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record.
